HOW ANALYSIS IS PREPARED

On the laptop, I use SEO research to identify common search terms used in pay-per-click advertising related to your business. Trends contain certain words the search algorithms uses to pinpoint characteristics of services and products.

On a tablet, I used the same phrase as with the laptop.

When I preformed the analysis on a phone, I use many of the same search words as with a laptop and tablet. However, a search on the phone provides phrases that are commonly used and automatically typed in by Google search, which I also included. These are called “autocomplete” results.

Google developers say this about autocomplete, “Autocomplete is a feature within Google Search that makes it faster to complete searches that you start to type. Our automated systems generate predictions that help people save time by allowing them to quickly complete a search that is useful to them.”

This autocomplete feature is more granular. As an example, instead of typing “Commercial Electric Services,” the autocomplete may populate “Electrician For Commercial Updates,” and both phrases produce different search results.

UNDERSTANDING THE ANALYSIS RESULTS

What the data shows are three tables, one for each device, of organic search listings on the first page of search results (FPSR). This is an authentic measure of the depth of current SEO efforts.

Organic search results will always be the go-to metric that cannot become distorted with hype or advertising. They are based on website content and media associated with your business on the internet.

You always see a few organic listings that display the “top ten ____” but the majority of time, you have to be a paid member of those vendors to be listed in those results. Plus, when you look at those pages there they do not match the organic search results from a Google search.
