On a website platform the hosting service is fairly invisible. With an independent service like me, I like to tell people about the website hosting so they understand how the website publishing takes place.

The organic listings appear underneath those. There are only 10 organic results per page so that is valuable real estate to be one of those ten on the first page of results.

This is what SEO, Search Engine Optimization, is all about. You want your website to display in one of the top three organic listings.

When you have your website content tuned correctly with proper search tech and methods then you achieve organic listings on that first page of results.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is here to stay. The new rage is using AI tools to generate content. I have seen articles on they help or detract from your SEO efforts. In other words, did humans produce your content or did you just plug in some AI generated content? I did do my own testing with it and I am still texting which content ranks higher in search results. For now, I am sticking with human generated content.

 Regulations

The priority today is maintaining some level of privacy for website visitors. In other words are you a legit website doing business or is the purpose of your business to collect website visitor information and the sell it, or worse to scam people.

On any website today you see cookie notices about privacy to opt in or opt out.

The recognized leader of website privacy is the GDPR, General Data Protect Rights, which was created by the European Union Parliament. They take privacy very seriously versus here in the USA where we have no federal laws on internet privacy.

GDPR is a law that protects the privacy and data of people in the EU and the EEA, and applies to any organization that deals with their data.

The GDPR came out last year with a ruling on the “cookie” notices we see on website around the world. They basically said that the “cookies” do not provide the security required by the GDPR and that the are working on making a more definitive statement as to what would be a solution.
